Abbotsford, BC (August 6, 2019) – Back by popular demand, the Touch a Truck family event rolls into the Abbotsford Centre parking lot for the eighth time on Saturday, September 28th from 11 am to 2 pm with proceeds from the barbeque lunch going to benefit Envision Financial’s The Full Cupboard, which in turn goes to the Archway Food Bank of Abbotsford. In addition to donations, the event will serve as a drop off location for non-perishable food items. Kids of all ages are invited to come check out this free family event, sponsored by Envision Financial, Spectra Venue Management, Star 98.3, Country 107.1, and The University of the Fraser Valley.

Touch a Truck is a fun, hands-on, educational event for the whole family. Vehicles and interactive displays from Abbotsford Fire Rescue Services, Eagle West Cranes, Central Fraser Valley Search & Rescue, Valley Driving School, Fix Auto and MSA Ford are among the many companies and vehicles that will be on-site and available for photo opportunities. Machine operators will also be on hand to talk to children about the machines and to answer questions!

The event will take place in front of the main doors of the Abbotsford Centre at 33800 King Road. For details and a list of vehicles, visit the Abbotsford Centre website at www.abbotsfordcentre.ca or call (604) 743-5000.

About The Full Cupboard:

Envision Financial, a division of First West Credit Union, is committed to making a real difference in the financial lives of our members and a meaningful difference in our local communities. That’s why we established The Full Cupboard, an innovative community program designed to raise food, funds and awareness for food banks in the communities where Envision Financial operates. Last year more than 126,000 British Columbians accessed their local food bank, 32.2% of whom were children. Our goal is to raise 1 million dollars and 100,000 pounds of food by 2023.
