Over 35,000 Canadians rally to find a cure for type 1 diabetes

The Sun Life Walk to Cure Diabetes for JDRF aims to raise $5.0 million to accelerate the pace of research

Aldergrove, BC, June 2 2019 – In June over 35,000 Canadians will rally from coast to coast for the 2019 Sun Life Walk to Cure Diabetes for JDRF.

The Walk takes place in cities across Canada to raise funds for life-changing type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. This year, JDRF aims to raise $5.0 million to accelerate the pace of T1D research, and help turn type one into type none. 2019 marks our 26ᵗʰ anniversary of the Walk and we’re proud to have the support of NHL player, Max Domi, as our National Spokesperson. Diagnosed with T1D at age 12, Max knows first-hand that it takes a team to fight this disease.

Join us on June 2nd and find inspiration, courage and strength from all those who are walking proudly, supporting a cause that is close to their hearts.
