ABBOTSFORD, BC (October 22, 2019) – The Touch a Truck family event rolled into the Abbotsford Centre parking lot for the eighth time on Saturday, September 28th. All proceeds and donations from the event went to Envision Financial’s The Full Cupboard, which in turn benefited the Archway Food Bank of Abbotsford.

Touch a Truck is a fun, hands-on, educational event for the whole family. Vehicles and interactive displays from over 20 exhibitors and vehicles were on-site, including Abbotsford Fire Rescue Services, Eagle West Cranes, Central Fraser Valley Search & Rescue, Valley Driving School, Westerra Equipment and many more.

The event saw over 1000 attendees throughout the day; activities included a barbeque lunch, face painting, a car smash, contesting, excavator demonstrations and more. As a result, 1100 lbs of food and over $2400 in monetary donations were collected for The Full Cupboard.

“I’d like to personally thank our venue partners Envision Financial and the University of the Fraser Valley, media outlets Star FM and Country 107.1 and all of the exhibitors for their continued support of Touch A Truck. This year was our most successful event to date. We look forward to hosting and growing this event each year, while supporting key community initiatives such as the Full Cupboard and the Archway Food Bank of Abbotsford.” stated Abbotsford Centre General Manager, Rick Comeau.
