Make the Holidays Enjoyable!

Make the Holidays Enjoyable!

If the thought of shopping, wrapping, baking and looking terrific at parties make you cringe, you may need a little help getting through the holidays in style. Here are a few ideas that may help, and if not you can use this paper to wrap your breakable ornaments after all this fuss is over…

Make it Enjoyable! Why not make your shopping trip part of the holiday fun…meet a friend for lunch. It will help break the day into two manageable chunks (before the martinis and after the martinis) Nobody said there had to be solid food at lunch, and it will help ease the guilt of holiday spending.

You aren’t Martha Stewart! Keep the Merry in Christmas.

Speaking of salons and spas…don’t wait to schedule your personal beauty appointments. Not only do you run the risk of getting in to see your stylist at the last minute when it’s not convenient, you risk not getting in at all. This is the busiest time of year for salons and gray roots don’t go well with any outfit – trust me.

If you have more than one party to attend, make those clothes multi-task, just like you do. For example, a dressy blouse with lace trim. You can pair it with jeans for a casual party, with black pants for a dressier evening or a black skirt and heels for a more formal affair. Stay well prepared by stocking your closet with fashion staples, like tights in every color, rhinestone hoop earrings and of course Spanx. If you don’t know what Spanx are ask the friend you took to lunch or Google it. Trust me on this.

When in doubt, wear a little black dress. The beauty of a little black dress is that it will take you to just about any Christmas party – and look perfect.

Happy Holidays Gorgeous!
