Paxton Bachman will be sharing some new tunes and playing some old ones at The Roasted Grape Saturday night from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Bachman hails from Vancouver, where he started rocking in from the crib soon after birth but now calls Abbotsford home.

Bachman’s good friend Siggy (keyboards) will be performing some material of his favorite singer/songwriters from the 70s.

The following weekend, Brandon & Shane Clark , Siggy and Paxton rock out at Duke’s Country Pub -41582 Yale Road, Chilliwack 9:00pm-1:00am.

Rumor has it an old friend and super talented harp player is gonna show up…. this gig is gonna rock.

Bachman grew up in Winnipeg listening to R&B, from Motown to Stax records, from the smooth melody of Stevie Wonder to funking out with James Brown.

Paxton’s musical education started early and quickly. He started on the drums at 7 and moved to the westcoast in his teens and discovered The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin. He then quickly added guitar and piano to his palette and started singing and writing tunes, getting his own style together.

From there it’s been a long ride playing in various bands, honing his talents, gigging and writing songs = paying dues. Paxton was fortunate enough to learn the ropes from his Father and Uncles who played with Canadian rock bands: The Guess Who and Bachman Turner Overdrive.

Although Paxton had learned a lot spending time behind the curtain guitar-teching tours for Randy, he much more enjoys guitar dueling with him on the stage.

He also cut his teeth for many seasons backing up Texas Blues-man ‘Master of the Lap Steel’ Sonny Rhoads, for who he held the positions of musical director and guitarist while enjoying the experience of opening up in front of tens of thousands.
