The Abbotsford Arts Council is pleased to present “Rear View”, an exhibition of works by members of the Central Fraser Valley Graphic Guild.

This is a theme show in which artists have painted a view as seen from the rear – a side that is not usually presented, and therefore, not as immediately identifiable.

Artists usually paint or photograph objects, buildings, and people showing the parts that are most recognizable, most beautiful or “proper”.

This often means showing the front since, as with people, it is by the face that one identifies what one is seeing.

A different point of view to challenge the creative spirit of the artist, a glimpse from a different angle, and you will discover that Rear View’s perspective can reveal unexpected sights.
