Abbotsford artists are opening their studios to the public on Saturday August 22, 2009 as part of the 2nd Annual Artists Studio Tour. The tour is sponsored by Abbotsford Spirit of BC and The Reach Gallery Museum Abbotsford and features eleven artists working in a wide range of mediums from acrylics to watercolors, ceramics to sculture, collage to photography and beyond.

Participating artists for 2009 are: Melodie Douglas, Sherry Dunn, Chris Friesen, Bente Hansen, Pat Maertz, Barb Pearson, Dianna Ponting, Carol Portree, Ursula E. Rettich, Herman Venema and Norm Williams.

The artists studios are open to participants between the hours of 10 am and 4 pm on August 22nd with a wine and cheese reception to follow at The Reach at 4:00 pm. Purchase of a $15.00 passport provides entry to the studios and the reception. The passports are on sale now at The Reach Gallery Museum Abbotsford, 32388 Vetrans Way (Trethewey & S. Fraser Way) and at the Abbotsford Spirit of BC office located at the UFV campus in Bldg C 1007, 33844 King Road
